Rooted in Research, Guided by Growth
Dreamland's curriculum is built on three powerful foundations:
The Experience Early Learning Curriculum is a research-informed, whole-child curriculum designed to support development across all learning domains, including cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development. It emphasizes meaningful, play-based learning experiences that are responsive to children’s interests while remaining grounded in intentional teaching practices.
The Experience Curriculum supports school readiness through a balance of teacher-led instruction and child-directed exploration. Key focus areas include early literacy and language development, foundational math and problem-solving skills, social-emotional learning and self-regulation, creative expression, and physical development. This approach allows children to build confidence, curiosity, and essential skills needed for a successful transition into kindergarten and lifelong learning.
Our program helps children build:
Self-help skills like dressing, toileting, and using utensils
Social-emotional regulation, such as turn-taking, expressing feelings, and managing frustration
Participation in group routines, structured tasks, and transitions
Fine and gross motor abilities that support everyday independence
These essential skills are embedded into our daily routines and intentional teaching strategies, giving children the tools they need to navigate both the classroom and the world around them with confidence.
Developmental Screenings & Support – offered once or twice a year using trusted tools and administered by our board certified occupational therapist, our screenings help monitor key developmental milestones and identify areas where children may benefit from extra support. If needed, we provide referrals to local therapy providers in occupational, physical, speech, or behavioral therapy.
