Curriculum & Developmental Goals
Our Infant Program is divided into two nurturing classrooms designed to support babies as they grow through critical developmental stages.
Mini Moons (6 Weeks – 11 Months)
Our youngest infants are gently guided through their earliest experiences with the world. The focus in the Mini Moons room is on building trust, forming secure attachments, and supporting essential developmental milestones through responsive, one-on-one care.
Learning & Development Focus:
Physical Development: Tummy time, assisted sitting, reaching and grasping, rolling over, crawling
Language Development: Exposure to calming voice tones, name recognition, story reading, soft songs and lullabies
Cognitive Development: Cause and effect toys, visual tracking, exploring safe sensory materials
Emotional Development: Strong caregiver bonds, consistent routines, individualized attention and comfort
Creative Exploration: Infant-safe music instruments, textured toys, light and shadow play
Cuddly Clouds (12 – 17 Months)
Older infants in the Cuddly Clouds room are becoming more mobile and curious. This room offers more structure while still honoring each child’s unique pace of development. Activities support independence, motor coordination, early social interaction, and language growth.
Learning & Development Focus:
Physical Development: Cruising, walking, climbing soft play structures, refining fine motor skills (like stacking and sorting)
Language Development: Simple words and sign language, responding to verbal cues, animal sounds, mimicking songs and phrases
Cognitive Development: Problem-solving toys, simple matching games, early pretend play
Social & Emotional Development: Parallel play, recognizing emotions, beginning to express needs
Creative Exploration: Crayons and paper scribbling, music and dancing, sensory bins
We honor each infant’s natural rhythm while gently encouraging growth at their own pace.
